Technology specialist with 13+ years building full stack applications across startups, fintechs, and large enterprises, each with their own distributed teams, pace, and inherited complexity. I work across the full length of the stack, shipping systems where engineering decisions have a direct impact on business outcomes. Alongside tech, I have hired, mentored, and managed engineers across multiple levels, fostering a culture where ownership, experimentation, and craft are taken seriously. With an M.E. in Info & Network Security – security is part of how I think about architecture and operations, not something bolted on at the end.
Owned the end-to-end web and growth engineering function for a next-gen B2B AI platform, taking full responsibility for the tech stack from domain configuration, DNS, and security through to frontend and backend application development, data infrastructure, and GTM execution. Built and shipped full stack applications that directly supported the GTM org in generating over $5M in B2B inbound qualified pipeline. Managed a team of 3 full stack engineers alongside a design team responsible for UI/UX and brand, introducing structured processes, clear ownership, and regular rituals to keep delivery on track. Played a key role in the 0-to-1 journey, growing organic traffic and SEO/GEO visibility from zero to 10,000 visitors/month. Contributed to the documentation of the open source GraphQL Engine and maintained shared libraries supporting multiple internal and external applications. Architected lead routing, data hygiene, and multi-touch attribution across Marketo and BigQuery, and implemented Clay and AI tools to improve targeting, personalisation, and operational efficiency.
Drove the rewrite of the fraud detection platform from scratch using Angular and Java Spring Boot, introducing nginx as a reverse proxy to handle millions of fraud detection requests per day. Managed a team of 5 engineers and a centralised UI architecture function, partnering with product, design, and QA across the full development lifecycle. Served as the primary bridge between UX designers and engineering, breaking down complex business requirements into tangible user stories and measurable deliverables.
Built Carzuo, a GM initiative, and served as a core member of Galileo, GM's cloud automation product. Selected by the architecture team to evaluate and recommend a replacement for the API gateway handling over 2 million requests per day across the organisation. Owned the rewrite of a high-volume payment transaction microservice from .NET to Spring Boot. Introduced Docker for local development environments, improving consistency and reducing onboarding friction. Served as principal trainer for the graduate and new hire programme, onboarding and upskilling incoming engineers across the function.
Developed the master dashboard for managing storage servers used by clients including Apple and Netflix, integrating Elasticsearch, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Rook to provide centralised control and visibility across automated cluster deployments.
Postgraduate degree focused on cybersecurity architecture, network defence, and information security systems.
Drove full stack development across multiple commercial enterprise projects. Set up an entire team from scratch to manage and maintain both client projects and plugin development for Shopify and WordPress. Continued part-time during M.E. studies.
Key contributor to building the frontend for Hasura's core product during its formative years. The open-source engine went on to reach over 200 million downloads on GitHub, making it one of the most widely adopted GraphQL engines in the world.

Kai and I worked together at Hasura on a number of projects as well as day-to-day tasks. He is a thoughtful contributor and has a wealth of knowledge. I came to rely on him as the ultimate sounding board since he is exceptional at consuming and processing information from multiple sources before suggesting a solution or helping to implement one.
